July 22 2008 Market Update
It looks like it will be another week before peaches come in. There may be small amounts available this week. There will be plenty of apricots and cherries from Packer Orchards. Blackberries, blueberries, loganberries, raspberries and strawberries will be coming in this week from Greenville Farm, Sulina & Bay’s Farm and Unger Farms. Lettuce, carrots, radishes, snow peas and fresh herbs will be available from Sulina & Bay’s Farm and from City Garden Farm. Springwater Farm will have a variety of wild and cultivated mushrooms for sale. Russell’s Bread, Fresh and Local, Little Pots and Pans, Rogue Creamery, Serious Bread and Xiong Farmer are all back with flowers, cheeses, pitas, bagels, breads, sandwiches and other good stuff to eat.
Culinate, an online food magazine headquartered in Portland, has started a farmers market resource area. Lloyd Farmers Market has its own area here. There are seasonal recipes posted there and other resources as well. Take a look.
See you at the Market!
