There should be some blueberries this week but the season is coming to an end. There will be raspberries and strawberries though. The fall raspberry crop is smaller than the main summer crop so raspberries will be available in smaller quantities. and strawberries will be available but the blueberry season is coming to an end. Apples, peaches, pears and plums should be readily available. As for vegetables, corn, summer squashes, herbs, new potatoes, fresh onions, green beans and similar items will be available. There should be broccoli, cabbage, chard and kale available as well.
Greenville Farms will be back with corn as well as blueberries, prune plums, broccoli, summer squash, green beans and zucchini. Unger Farms will be bringing blueberries (maybe), strawberries and raspberries (maybe). Packer Orchards will have apples, pears, peaches and nectarines. Sulina and Bay’s Farm will be bringing lettuce, fenugreek, carrots, beets, cabbage, radishes, corn, basil and other fresh herbs, snow peas and zucchini plus many varieties of green beans. Springwater Farm will have a variety of wild and cultivated mushrooms for sale including maitake, shiitake, nameko and morels. Lion’s mane (or monkey’s head) is in very limited supply right now. Early chantarelles will be available though. Fresh and Local will be making chicken skewers and rice, Russell’s Bread will be making sandwiches and Asian-American Food will be making Pad Thai. Xiong Farmer will be selling a variety of flower bouquets. Rogue Creamery will have its usual great lineup of cheeses while Little Pots and Pans will be bringing a selection of savory tarts, tartlets and salads. Anton’s Bakery will be back this Tuesday (Anton really will be back) with its excellent selection of gluten-free baked goods.
