The wam weather has been good for fruits and vegetables. Peaches, nectarines, apples, plums, raspberries and strawberries should all be readily available. On the vegetable side, corn, summer squashes, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers will be plentiful You should also find new potatoes, fresh onions, green beans, chard and kale will be available.
Greenville Farms will be back with corn as well as blueberries(maybe), prune plums, broccoli, summer squash, green beans and zucchini. Unger Farms will be bringing strawberries and raspberries (maybe). Packer Orchards will have apples, pears, peaches, nectarines and perhaps blueberries. Sulina and Bay’s Farm will be bringing chard, rhubarb (maybe), fenugreek, carrots, beets, cabbage, radishes, corn, basil and other fresh herbs, zucchini plus many varieties of green beans. Russell’s Bread will be making sandwiches and Asian-American Food will be making Pad Thai. Xiong Farmer will be selling a variety of flower bouquets. Rogue Creamery will have its usual great lineup of cheeses while Little Pots and Pans will be bringing a selection of savory tarts, tartlets and salads. Anton’s Bakery will have a wide selection of gluten-free baked goods. Springwater Farm and Fresh and Local have finished for the season.
A number of customers have been asking when the market ends this season. We had planned on ending September 30th but have decided to end on October 7th instead.
