July 7 2009 Market Preview

Cherries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries will be readily available this week. Apricots, peaches and nectarines should be coming in soon. We have two new vendors this week. Total Pig raises pigs on open pasture and certified organic feed. Their farm is located on 20 acres of certified organic farmland in the Columbia Gorge.  Bigfoot Bakery makes whole-grain breads and pita.

Savory et Sweet and Todbott’s Triangles have prior commitments and won’t be at the market this week.

Here’s the expected availability list:

Sulina and Bay’s Farm – strawberries, herbs, peas, carrots, lettuce.
Radicle Pastures – Strawberries, lettuce certified organic.
RedTree Farm -salad mix, eggs, and goat’s milk soap.
Packer Orchards – pear juice sweetened baked goods, jams and pears, cherries.
Greenville Farms – blackberries,  raspberries, blackcaps (maybe),  hazelnuts, eggs, prunes and jams.
Unger Farms – strawberries, raspberries (red and yellow), blueberries.
Katie’s Gluten-Free Home Baking – gluten free baked goods.
Little Pots and Pans – savory tarts, risotto cakes, and mini-tarts.
Nature’s Choices – fresh mushrooms (wild and cultivated), dried mushrooms, mushroom salt, honey, dried rose hips, huckleberry jam
Rogue Creamery – artisan cheeses.
Xiong Farmer – flowers.
THINK Unique Garden – plant starts.
