We have a few new vendors joining the market next Tuesday. Rick Steffen Farm from Silverton, as you can see from the photo on the left, grows peppers and a lot of other fruits and vegetables. Rick expects to have beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, spinach, peppers (sweet and hot), onions and shallots. He may have a few strawberries and kale as well. Rick has quite a few greenhouses and is often able to bring items to market earlier and later than other farms.
Fressen Artisan Bakery will also start coming to the market next Tuesday. Edgar Mullin Loesch started baking in Bavaria, Germany. Edgar makes high quality artisan breads and pastries in the German and Austrian tradition using organic ingredients from local sources. His vollkornbrot and stollen are outstanding.
In other vendor news, RedTree Organic Farm is hoping to be back at the market next week. I’ll have a firm answer by next Monday.
