Market Preview 2010 Season

May 28, 2010

The new market season begins on Tuesday, June 1st. There are a few changes. As announced in March, the market will run year-round on Tuesdays. We’ve also added a market session in the summer season. The market will be open on Thursdays, June through September 2010. The hours of operation remain the same, 10am to 2pm.

We have a few new vendors this year. Here’s a list of the new folks:

Ammie’s Goodies – Amaranth Wilson is a gluten free baker. She is currently selling at the OHSU Farmers Market and will be at Lloyd Farmers Market on Thursdays.

Full of Life Farm (link) – Bernard Smith and family raise chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs and beef in St. Paul, Oregon. They will have eggs as well. Full of Life will be coming to the market on Thursdays.

The Hummus Stop – Mo Hamzaoi makes a wide variety of hummus and other Mediterranean foods. The Hummus Stop will be at the market on Thursdays.

I am still actively courting a gluten free prepared food vendor for Tuesdays. I hope to have one soon.Osmogaia will be returning to the Lloyd Farmers Market sometime in October.

There will be a slightly different lineup for each day. Here is a list for each day.

Like every other year, the weather is a factor for some farms. I will post a market update on Monday listing who will be coming and what they expect to bring. Let’s hope the weather forecast is correct and we have a few relatively dry days in front of us. Have a happy and safe holiday weekend.
