Well, we had a few days of warm weather. The cool, wet weather is slowing things down again. Nonetheless, there is still a decent harvest coming in. The June berries are here and you’ll find Hoods, Totems and Shuksans available this week. Early raspberries will be available too. You’ll also find lettuce, carrots, radishes, turnips, potatoes, kale, chard and onions.
Little Pots and Pans quickly sold out of their new Strawberry Basil Goat Cheese Tart on Tuesday. They will be bringing a lot more tomorrow. The Hummus Stop will have several flavors of hummus, pita, pita chips, tabouli, artichoke salad and other savory items. Amaranth of Ammie’s Goodies will be back with a wide variety of gluten-free items. Full of Life Farm will have a variety of beef cuts and chicken. They also will be taking orders if you are interested in stocking your freezer. They are also taking turkey orders for Thanksgiving. (It may seem too soon but a few farms have already pre-sold all their birds.) Visit Full of Life Farm’s website (link) for more information or just talk to them at the market. Fressen Bakery will start attending the Thursday market next week.
