Market Update August 26 2010

Greenville Farms will have plenty of corn, cucumbers, squash, and potatoes. Rick Steffen Farm will have okra, peppers, squash, onions, green beans, peaches, and a selection of berries. Unger Farms will have strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. The Hummus Stop will have hummus, pita, pita chips, tabouli, artichoke salad and other savory items. Amaranth of Ammie’s Goodies will be back with a wide variety of gluten-free items including her gluten-free baguette.

Vendor update: Fressen is gone for a few weeks while Edgar takes a well-earned vacation. The bakery will be back in September.

Here is the rundown for all vendors this Thursday:

Ammie’s Goodies – gluten free baked goods.

Greenville Farms – blueberries, cucumbers, prunes, corn, green beans (maybe), zucchini, crookneck squash, summer squash, hazelnuts, cookies, eggs and jams.

The Hummus Stop – hummus (8+ flavors), tabouli, baba ganoush, artichoke salad, pita.

Fressen Artisan Bakery – ON VACATION BACK SEPTEMBER 9.

Radicle Pastures (certified organic): Lettuce, cabbage, pickling cucumbers, summer squash, squash flowers.

Sulina & Bay’s Farm: Flowers, strawberries, peas, carrots, radishes, lettuce, leeks, scallions, onions, potatoes, cilantro, dill, snap peas, green beans.

Sage and Sea Farms – drinking vinegars

Unger Farms: strawberries (Albion), blueberries (Spartan), blackberries (Triple Crown).

Rick Steffen Farm: raspberries, blueberries, peaches, peppers (a rainbow of colors), okra, eggplant, potatoes (red and white), green and yellow zucchini, onions, peppers.
