Market Update

Market Update October 5 2010

Tomatoes came late but thankfully we’ve still plenty available. THINK Unique Gardens, Greenville Farms and Rick Steffen Farm will all have tomatoes tomorrow. There will be strawberries tomorrow and probably next week too. Peaches and nectarines are pretty much done for the year. Spinach should be plentiful. Winter squash, like everything else, is late but butternut squash, delicata squash, and pumpkin should be available tomorrow. Wild mushrooms (lobster, matsutake and chanterelle (white and yellow) mushrooms should be readily available as well. Nature’s Choice had a few huckleberries and wild watercress last week. Bill may have more tomorrow. Check back in the morning for a market day update.
