Market Update

Market Update October 19 2010

Lloyd Farmers Market is in the news this week. Neighborhood Notes published an article on winter markets (link). Thanks for the nice article Martha!

While the temperatures hold, we’ll still have tomatoes, peppers, strawberries and other summer items this week. Greenville Farm should be bringing their pepper roaster tomorrow. If you’ve never experienced a fresh roasted pepper, you need to try them. There will be a nice selection of winter squash (including pumpkins) tomorrow. Wild mushrooms (lobster, matsutake and chanterelle (white and yellow) mushrooms should be readily available as well. You’ll find spinach, carrots, beets, potatoes as well.
