July 19 2011 Market Update

Unger Farms and Greenville Farms will both have raspberries this week. Unger Farms will also have strawberries. Packer Orchards will be bringing cherries. THINK Unique Gardens is out this week.

Here is Tuesday’s vendor rundown:

Greenville Farms – strawberries (maybe), raspberries, blueberries, prunes (fresh and dried), hazelnuts, eggs, and jams.

Nature’s Wild Harvest – fresh mushrooms (shiitake, maitake, oyster), porcini (maybe), morels, dried mushrooms, mushroom salt, honey, huckleberry jam.

Unger Farms: strawberries (Albion, Hood), raspberries (Cascade Dawn), blueberries, blackberries (Obsidian).

Bigfoot Bread – Joshua bread, toasting muffins, pita (maybe), foccacia (maybe), cornbread, good morning bars.

Olympic Provisions – frankfurters, charcuterie including Cacciatore, Chorizo Andalucia, Chorizo Navarre, Chorizo Rioja, Finocchiona, Loukanika, Nola, Salchichon, Saucisson Sec, Saucisson d’Alsace, Saucisson d’Arles, Sopressatta. Fressen Bakery – pretzels, German and Austrian breads and pastries.

The Hummus Stop – hummus (8+ flavors), tabouli, baba ganoush, artichoke salad, tzaziki, pita.

Nectar Coffee Company – drip coffee, whole bean coffees.



Pot of For Goodness Sake! (vegan)
The SoupCycle recipe featured in Food and Wine Magazine (link). Thick and creamy red lentil soup made with carrots, garlic, potatoes, a touch of cumin, a shot of lemon and a kick of cayenne.

Gazpacho (veggie)
Classic chilled summer soup made with ripe tomatoes, fresh onions and crisp cucumbers.

The Democratic Republic of Peanut Chicken (meaty)
Thick and hearty African peanut chicken stew complimented by bell peppers, tomatoes and garbanzo beans.

Xiong Farmers – flowers.

Savory et Sweet – crepes, menagerie snack plate.

Packer Orchards – cherries, cookies, jams.
