October 30, 2012

Join us today at the Lloyd Farmers Market to celebrate the season’s harvest! Before we get to the day’s festivities, the big news is that we now have a heated seating area at the market, so you can keep warm while you shop or eat lunch!

But wait, there’s more! Between 11 am and 1 pm today, we’ll have live music from gypsy dance music group The Pale Players. We have a humongous squash, and will be running a Guess-the-Weight contest – enter to win a basket of goodies from the market!
Some of our vendors are running special deals today: King’s Raven Winery is offering $1 off any bottle of their wine, and $2 off if you buy multiple bottles. Masala Pop will be offering $1 off any of their products, with purchase of any other item at the market. And we have a new guest vendor today, Brandwein Meadows Lamb, selling several cuts of local grass-fed lamb. Come on by and welcome them to the market!

Lastly, for our customers on SNAP, we are increasing our popular matching program Fresh Funds. Through the end of the year, we are now offering a $10 match of SNAP benefits at the Lloyd Farmers Market! SNAP customers can now receive up to $10 in additional funds to spend at the market every week. (This program was funded by a grant from New Seasons Market). So if you’ve never used your Oregon Trail card before at the market, now is a great time to start!

Check below for a full list of vendors at the market today. Naked Acres Farm will be back again next week.
