The Lloyd Farmers Market summer season kicks off today, and it’s bigger and better than ever! We’re expanding for the first time outside of the gazebo, making room for new vendors, including new lunch options, farmers, produce, and more!
Our new lunch vendor Mixteca starts today, with traditional Oaxacan tamales and mole. Scoop Handmade Ice Cream is back, with ice cream bars and pints. Other folks starting or returning today are Fraga Farm with certified organic goat cheese, Brandwein Meadows Lamb with grass fed lamb and fleece, and Sandra’s Salsa with fresh made salsas.
Today we’re also kicking off our summer event series, with the first of our Sustainable Living days. Portland Active Transportation is at the market, with bike maps and other resources. We’ll also be giving away two free tickets to the Portland Eco Film Festival at the Hollywood Theatre, for next Wednesday’s showing of Elemental. Stop by the information/token booth at the market to enter the drawing.
