Looking around the produce at today’s Lloyd Farmers Market, it sure doesn’t feel like fall is around the corner! Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, peaches, raspberries, corn and much more are at their peak of abundance right now. Only the delicious apples at Kiyokawa Orchards (including ginger gold, a favorite of mine) betray the changing season.
Today we are raffling off two free tickets to the next film in the Portland Eco Film Festival – September 12th’s screening of Cafeteria Man at the Hollywood Theatre. It’s free to enter the raffle, just stop by the market’s information/token table and fill out a ticket!
Savory et Sweet and ProFarm Produce are out of the market today, and will return next week. Sandra’s Salsas has unfortunately ended their market season a bit early, making last week their last market of the season. We hope to have them back at the market next year! See below for photos and a full list of vendors at the market today.
