December is upon us, and don’t forget – the Lloyd Farmers Market is here all winter long with a plethora of locally grown produce! We’ve had a couple new vendors join us since last month, including Gales Meadow Farm, with certified organic heirloom winter produce; Fraga Farm, with fresh and aged Oregon goat cheese; Ole World Oils, with camelina oil, a locally grown and processed alternative cooking oil; Sweetrock Swiss Bakery with Swiss style breads and pastries; and The Boxer (back next week), with hand painted clocks and wall hangings.
And Savory et Sweet is back this week.
We’re also excited to announce that our food access program, Fresh Funds, is a featured charity in this year’s Willamette Week GiveGuide! This is part of a cooperative effort among nine local farmers markets and the Farmers Market Fund to raise funds for money-matching programs at farmers markets throughout the Portland area. We believe that all Oregonians deserve access to fresh, local produce, and these programs make it possible for families on food stamps to shop at their neighborhood farmers market.
