July is almost here, and the Lloyd Farmers Market is bursting with summer produce! Today Kiyokawa Family Orchards returns to the market with cherries and peaches from their orchard in the Hood River Valley. In the coming weeks, they’ll have apples, pears and other tree fruit! Unger Farms is in the prime of their season now, with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries! Make sure to come early if you want to have the best pick; some varieties sell out quickly.
Also starting this week is Lonesome Whistle Farm , with a variety of heritage grains and beans, as well as fresh-popped popcorn! Stop on by and welcome them to the market!
Our live music season continues today with folk duo The Welldiggers. It continues on July 14th with folk/blues guitarist and farmers market mainstay James Clem, and July 28th with kora player (it’s a kind of harp from West Africa) Will Dudley.
