Eat up August at the Lloyd Farmers Market

August 29, 2016

It’s 10 am on Tuesday, and that means time to come shop and eat your way through the Lloyd Farmers Market!

Beautiful arrangements of dahlias, gladiolas, sunflowers and more from Xiong Farms will greet you at the entrance. Tomatoes are the talk of the town these days, and heirloom varieties are on parade at Flying Coyote Farm and Udan Farm. Join those up with some fresh herbs from Greenville Farms and you’re halfway to dinner tonight. On the fruit side, Kiyokawa Family Orchards has more apple varieties each week – today they have Zestar, Gala, and Ginger Gold (among others). And Unger Farms has fresh Red Flame grapes, which make a delicious snack!

Portland Bicycle Outfitters returns to the market today, with free bike tuneups, repairs and safety checks. And Lew Jones will be playing live music from 11am to 1pm. See you at the market!
