Savor the Last Days of Summer Sunshine at LFM

September 18, 2018

We have a beautiful September day here to remind us summer is not officially over yet, and with it a bounty of berries from Valley Berry Farm and Unger Farms. These berry growers may only be around for another week or two, so get your pints and flats, and jam, freeze, pie, tart, and smoothie to your heart’s delight.

Italian prune plums and nectarines at Kiyokawa Family Orchards are at their sweetest, and also may be making their last appearance at the farmers market show. At Greenville Farms the summer corn, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers are hanging on right along side autumn’s broccoli, radishes and rainbow carrots.

A big THANK YOU to our SNAP Match sponsor Getaround for their second week of contributing to help my our farmers market affordable for all shoppers. You can visit their booth in the courtyard to find out their peer-to-peer car sharing app, fun swag, and $50 in free drive credit if you use sign up at get.co//pdxlloyd.

We have live music from Eric John Kaiser, playing and singing bluesy tunes from 11am-1pm, so get out here and savor up the last days and rays of summer sunshine. See below for a full list of vendors at the market today.

A reminder this month is our annual Instagram Photo Contest at the Lloyd Farmers Market. Keep snapping and posting your 2018 Lloyd Farmers Market photos with the hashtag #LFMPhotocontest by September 30th to enter. The wining photographer will receive $20 in market tokens.
