Sunshine today at the Lloyd Farmers Market

The federal government is temporarily back open and the sun is temporarily back in the sky, and that means it’s a great day to come out to the Lloyd Farmers Market. Our roster of vendors may be small, but they have a mighty variety of offerings. Starting in February vendors old and new will begin a gradual return for the 2019 season.

A reminder to customers issued SNAP benefits on your EBT card that we contine to offer up to a $10 match per market, just visit the information booth to turn your benefits into market tokens and double them at the same time.

While you are taking in the late January sunshine on your break, fill your bags with beautiful cabbages, bunched roots and greens, and fresh eggs at Greenville Farms. Mushrooms, honey, and wild harvested teas and jams are back this week from Nature’s Wild Harvest. If you’re seeking something sweet, then look no further than the boxes of apples and pears from Kiyokawa Family Orchards.

Of course you can make it a “Tamale Tuesday” with a visit to Mixteca, and be sure to pick up a bag of beans from Central City Coffee during their flash sale. See below for the full list of vendors at market this week.

Central City Coffee – fresh drip, pour over and cold brew by the cup and small batch roasted coffee beans by the bag
Greenville Farms – produce, jam, eggs, sausages, fresh roasted peppers
Kiyokawa Family Orchards – apples and pears
Mixteca – traditional Oaxacan tamales and mole
Nature’s Wild Harvest – fresh and dried mushrooms and other foraged goodies, honey
