Today is another beautiful summer day here at the Lloyd Farmers Market! Greenville Farms has their pepper roaster, and will be selling fresh-roasted poblano, Hatch, Anaheim, bell and padron peppers. Peaches are in peak season – make sure and stop by Kiyokawa Family Orchards and pick some up before the season ends. Nature’s Wild Harvest has a plethora of wild mushrooms, including chanterelles, oyster, lobster, lion’s mane, and more – an impressive bounty for this time of year! They also have huckleberries and elderberries.
Want to make a difference in your community and shape the future of your neighborhood farmers market? Lloyd Farmers Market is currently taking applications for new members to join our volunteer board of directors, which governs both Lloyd and Hollywood Farmers Markets! As a non-profit organization, we rely on our volunteer board to oversee the direction, sustainability, and financial health of both farmers markets. The deadline for applications is Monday, October 7, 2019 – see this article on our website for more information and to apply.
