It’s a cold, crisp morning at the Lloyd Farmers Market, and the sun is shining. Fall greens, apples and pears, cauliflower, roasted peppers, fresh cut flowers and more await you!
This week USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service announced that they are temporarily allowing purchase of hot/ready-to-eat food using SNAP benefits through November 20th, 2020 in several Oregon counties including Multnomah. This special rule is due to the power outages and displacement caused by wildfires.
So for the next month, SNAP shoppers can now use the $1 SNAP tokens to purchase hot food from Mixteca!
