Welcome Healing Earth! – Mushroom drinks – winter squash – sourdough bread

Thankfully, the smoke has cleared, and it’s a clear breezy market day today at the Lloyd Farmers Market! Stop by to get some fresh air and to get your shopping done. We’re seeing more signs that autumn is on its way, with more varieties of apples and pears at Kiyokawa Family Orchards, and the first winter squash (delicata, kabocha and more) at Greenville Farms. Of course summer produce like tomatoes, peaches and corn are still available in abundance too!

Today we welcome new vendor Healing Earth to the Lloyd Farmers Market, with mushroom hot chocolate and mushroom matcha! They’ll have powdered mixes as well as brewed available to go (remember to leave the market before drinking). Stop by to try!

In addition to her delicious whole grain crackers, today Robyn’s Craft Bakehouse has bread specials: a sourdough einkorn loaf and onion poppyseed buns.

Welcome Divine Microgreens and Alleamin! Farewell for now Unger Farms. – Sambusas – Eggplant – Pears

Today we are happy to welcome our newest vendor, Divine Microgreens. Business founder Dea Miller strives to provide the Portland area with the highest quality, nutrient dense, hyper-local food. Did you know that microgreens can come from many different plants and each type has a unique texture and flavor? They are perfect for adding substance to your sandwiches or smoothies, or a beautiful, nutritious garnish to a meal. Stop by and say hi to Dea.

We are also excited to welcome back Alleamin after an extended break! They have a cult following for their delicious sambusas and chicken over rice. For those of you who’ve been missing them or who haven’t tried their food yet, come grab a bite!

Today is Unger Farms’ last day of the season so don’t forget to load up on berries.

Late summer abundance today! Heirloom tomatoes – Redhaven and white peaches – artichokes

We’ve reached the late-summer peak of our Pacific NW produce season, when summer fruit and veggies are available in abundance and peak flavor. Tomatoes, peppers, corn, berries, peaches and much more! Now it’s the time to stock up – freeze some berries, can some peaches, make some salsa – or just pick up the ingredients for a delicious dinner.

Kiyokawa Family Orchards has White Lady and Redhaven, both very sweet and perfect for eating or baking. In addition to their summer bounty, Greenville Farms has the first artichokes of the season today. We’re open today until 2pm, see you at the market!

Today we welcome a new vendor, Blind Coffee Roasters! This award-winning roaster will be selling their locally-roasted coffee beans. Stop by and welcome them to the market!

Elsewhere we’re experiencing the full abundance of the summer! Tomatoes, corn, bell peppers and eggplant at Greenville Farms, a full array of berries at Greenville and Unger Farms, and peak-season peaches and cherries at Kiyokawa Family Orchards. Kiyokawa even has the first apples and pears of the season!
